Why can't i have a platonic relationship with a male?

I never seem to be able to have "male" friends. Do I just let guys see me as a ual object, Or do I not put myself out there as a friend? Every time that I have met a guy he seems to only want me more than just a friend when I only try to show interest as a friend. When they show more interest than that he seems to not talk to me anymore, Why?? Please need mature input.
