Since I had a finger chopped off two months ago, will it be difficult for myself to seek employment?

Just on two months ago, I had my left-ring finger surgically amputated in hospital, just above the first joint up from the knuckle, since it had broken and dislocated over half a dozen times. The finger had become useless and since I play Aussie Rules football, and consider myself a chance of being drafted to an AFL club in the future, I decided to have it chopped off. Unrelated to this, will I face difficulties in seeking employment at a supermarket, pub or cafe for instance? Since they may seek my lack of 2/3rds of a finger as a hindrance to my abilities to perform tasks. Although I had my finger chopped off since footy is my life and I'd do anything to allow myself to follow my dreams, I do wish to seek employment, so I'm curious as to where I stand given my new 'amputee' status. Cheers, Stumpy:-)
