Does lowering your car produce more road noise in the cabin while driving?

I'm a fan of a quiet and comfortable commute to work--something I have to do everyday--(Tracy to San Francisco) for work. However I have been looking into modifying my car and think it would look really good lowered (2009 Base model Corolla) but don't want to compromise the quietness of my cabin. So I was wondering if anyone knows who might be able to help, Thanks in advance.
