Collingwood vs. West Coast 2007 Semi-Final, Who remembers?
Though how could you forget. Approximately 1 year ago from today in a few days time (hard to believe). Heart pounding stuff out at Subiaco, Sportbets across Australia were scratching their head over this one. West Coast, who were recently the powerhouse side of the AFL were drifting, and Collingwood were pretty much how they are now. In fairness to West Coast, they were missing Kerr, Judd and Cousins on that day, though does that mean it was a testament to the rest of the team, and wether or not those 3 carried the side? Anywho, the match ended in a draw, and I remember at the end all our players were desperatley trying to kick a mere point whilst West Coast's boys were tackling and smothering in slippery conditions. A memorable smother goes out to Michael Braun, spoiling Harry O'Brien in what was seemingly a definite point, possible goal. Collingwood eventually won the match in two 5 minute halves in over time. The best match I've possibly ever seen, so much so I now own it on DVD. If you're a supporter of one of the other 14 teams, I don't think you quite understand what us Collingwood/Eagles fans went through on that night. Your thoughts about it?
